I’ve always been interested in religious iconography. The dramatic, storytelling imagery especially affected me. Maybe it was because when I was in the second grade, Mrs. Miller would read us a Bible story before lunch if we were good. Really, really good. The stories with fire, floods, diseases, and plagues. Just the thing to plant images in a young boy’s mind. I was changed by those stories. These are some of my personal interpretations.
